Putting yoga into practice means practicing a sequence of postures or postures. Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras are still with us today as authoritative written material. Sutra means a perfect arrangement in minimum words. As a result, one has to comment on the topic of the sutra and explain its meaning. Formulas are short but perfectly edited sentences, which we cannot change, but can interpret. a technique that is a thread connecting from Yogasana to Mukti. He perceives the smallest meaning and adds it in such a way that he realizes a formula. We cannot deny one part of it and only consider the other part.

Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras are authentic and authoritative in my opinion. Because there is no such ancient literature available on the subject of ‘Yoga’ the later texts “Yoga Ratnavali” and “Hatha Yoga Pradipika” also consider and refer to Patanjali. What does Patanjali say about yoga? In the Yoga Sutras, Patanjali says, “Ath Yoga Anusanalam” is where the practice of Yoga begins. Immediately after that it is said, “Yoga Chitta Vritti Nirodha” ie Yoga creates the ability to keep away all the vrittis that disturb the mind. This is the only place where Patanjali defines yoga.

Yoga is good for health. It rejuvenates the body system. Regular yoga should be done. But Yoga is not just postures, it is higher and deeper, the remedies and practices mentioned in the Yoga Sutras remove the mind from its limitations and negative thoughts, give us the vision to see everything as one, from the third-dimensional world we know to the multidimensional world. In this journey, one fulfills the highest purpose of life. Life develops and expands by taking on new dimensions. Travel from three-dimensional to multi-dimensional. This state is called the attainment of the supreme essence. This is the real purpose of yoga.

Yoga says that it is important to have yama and niyama, meaning rules and regulations. How you live, what you eat, and what you drink are all very important. Because all this creates a balance in the state from which the mind tries to come out. The mind becomes more and more subtle. The subtle mind also activates non-functioning systems of the brain. When this happens consciousness expands and sees the whole world as one. So this yoga is not just asanas. Asana, pranayama, yama, and niyama are all just postures with desired changes. All we need is to activate the dormant centers in our system. These centers sometimes work spontaneously, but generally, they are gradually opened through regular practice. When we are happy or laughing, we forget about sadness. The general question then arises, if happiness cannot be found outside oneself, where can this happiness be found? The great scriptures of India, the Upanishads, and the Vedas, indicate that there is such a way to find happiness within oneself, independent of all external things. The great Vedic scientists who have experienced this bliss have authoritatively written in these texts that ‘that’ bliss is eternal. Who is so beautiful that the whole of humanity wants to share in that joy. That is, give happiness to all and be happy yourself.

A healthy body and mental health are necessary to experience happiness, life becomes happy only. So, is every little thing full of joy? The dewdrops of morning water, the gentle breeze scented with the scent of jasmine flowers, the scent of the earth after the first rain, the snow-capped peaks of the distant mountains, the laughter of children, all these ordinary things, though not much attention, begin to give you the most joy. A balanced mind is also necessary to experience happiness. Everything becomes a celebration of joy, and that joy is rooted in oneself. When your inner self is happy, the world is filled with happiness for you. And the world begins to look beautiful.

Let’s consider an example of mankind’s tendency to seek happiness. When we buy new things, we get happiness. There is no happiness if her things become old. So does happiness depend on whether the item is new or old? Things are new, oand ld, and the cycle goes on and on, but only you have the right to be happy. Happiness does not depend on things.
This is the most perfect example of the pursuit of happiness. Forgetting that this happiness resides within us, we keep looking for that happiness all over the world. When it is found within us, we are fully satisfied. The English word ‘Completeness’ is beautiful in Sanskrit. The Upanishads say that ‘perfection’ is an essential characteristic of one’s basic ‘being’, the ‘soul’. ‘Atma’ is the pure consciousness itself, free from all obstructions.

When this ‘Atma’ or true essence is found, one attains the state of perfect bliss. Along with this, it is also realized that this state exists in every living being, even if it is not visible, but this center and core of our consciousness is not unique to anyone. Everyone has it; It’s just that they don’t know it yet. The process of finding it is called ‘meditation.

If there is something there, there must be a way to find it. To say there is no way for something is futile. Because if there is no way, it doesn’t matter whether that way exists or not. becomes meaningless. However, it is a way to find inner happiness and it can be taught to others.

It seems to slip away, out of our reach and the moment we get a little bit of happiness, do we try to hold on to the life we love? Because, somewhere, we would have known that happiness is hard to come by and can disappear anytime. Now, let’s say I get my lost ring back and I’ll be happy. So I think I am happy. But, my subconscious mind knows that this happiness will soon fade away. So what do I do? I try to hold it as tightly as possible because I’m afraid it will slip! Now notice… if I hold on to something and at the same time, I fear losing it, then where is the joy of that thing? It’s just insecurity.

Tell me, can vulnerability create happiness? Can I ever really be happy when the fear of theft is insecurity? This is not true happiness. So, I continue my search. And keeps going from one thing to another. Not just because you know it, but why shouldn’t we express our joy in the small pleasures of everyday life?? They are the most wonderful things the world can offer us. Apart from these small pleasures in life, we must remember that the happiness we seek is never found outside ourselves, in material things.!!! Try to find happiness within yourself rather than outside the world. Of course, make yourself right not weak. A weak man cannot be happy.

These ideas can be further expanded If I buy an insurance policy in which year will the policy benefit me? How much will be in my bank account then? How can I continue my life and live up to my current standard of living? As we can see here, this pursuit of happiness encourages us to live life… motivates us!! But the question here is, do we finally find that happiness? The answer is simple. Someone says, ‘Yes, I found it.’ So someone says, ‘Yes, I found myself in something else.’ But after that happiness is found, why do we still search for that happiness, why do we continue to search for it? In some instances, the right, creative, intuitive brain is used for a few minutes or a short time, and then, it reverts to the practical left side. Because once the creative ‘input’ comes in, it becomes necessary for the brain to put it into action or see the result. And that requires practical work. This is where practical brain work begins. This intuitive part of the mind is often neglected. I call it the mind, but it could also be the brain.

This intuitive part remains neglected. A man may be an expert; He may be doing very well financially, intellectually, etc. If he has to gather information for others, he may be a very good expert in gathering that information and using that information for his good and that of others. But the other part remains neglected, i.e. the intuitive part! Therefore, the brain develops from one side. The best way to realize the depth of your potential is to pay enough attention to the intuitive part of your mind.

Maharishi Patanjali says about meditation in Yogasutra (3.2)-

तत्र प्रत्ययैकतानता ध्यानम् ।

That is, meditation is the constant concentration of the mind in the place where the mind is applied. Maharishi Patanjali Ji wants to say that keeping the mind focused on one place i.e. on any one part of the body, the heart, the middle of the brow, or any deity or picture, etc. is a Dharana, but wherever the mind is focused, it stays in that. Meditation is the concentration of the mind and no other thoughts arise in between. For example, concentration is to fix, stop or stop the mind on any formless or formless form of God, but meditation is to stop the mind completely on that formless, corporeal, formless form of God. At that time, there is no place for any other thoughts except God in the mind, in the mind, only God’s light remains, that is meditation. Meditation is the stopping of the mind in the sky while perceiving the sky. There the mind immersed in the sky itself becomes sky-like. There the mind is in the sky and the sky is in the mind. At that time, there is only unbroken thought or attitude of the sky in the mind, not of anyone else. Ultimately, the ultimate goal of yoga practice is “samadhi” for that unbroken instinct of the mind to merge into the sky, to drown in the sky, to disappear in the sky itself. Samadhi is the culmination of meditation, the conclusion of meditation. Similarly, fixing the mind on the rising sun in the morning is dharna, but when that dharna becomes so deep that the mind stops in the same sun, in the same image, in the same attitude, then it is meditation. Samadhi is the dissolution of the mind completely in the same attitude, in the same sun, becoming absorbed in it.

The rising sun is like a fire sitting amidst the redness of the light, which is visible now, but as the light becomes more intense, the sun appears like a ball of fire. Ultimately that situation comes, when that ray of light becomes completely in the form of fire. Those light rays then have no independent existence of their own. It becomes fire. Then there is no difference between light and fire. Both become identical. Regarding samadhi, sage Patanjali says in Yogasutra (3.3):

तदेवार्थमात्रनिर्भासं स्वरूपशून्यमिव समाधिः ।

That is, when in this process of meditation, only the object on which the attention is being focused, only that object remains and the self-nature of the mind becomes zero-like, then the same meditation becomes samadhi. Just as the sun’s rays are collected on a piece of wet glass, fire is generated and the paper burns from it, in the same way, the meditation of the meditator on the divine or the other object of meditation, as meditation deepens, By the way, the energy of meditation, the fire of meditation keeps getting accumulated in the mind. Then the energy of meditation, the fire of meditation, becomes so intense that the seeds of karma-sanskars imprinted in the unconscious mind of the meditator start burning with that fire of meditation.

Just like a small spark is enough to burn the entire forest area. A small spark turns into a wildfire in no time and the entire forest area gets burnt to ashes. In the same way, the fierce fire of meditation generated in the mind slowly engulfs the sanskars prevailing in the mind and within no time, the seeds of the accumulated deeds in the mind begin to die. The end goes on getting pure. Yes, this situation does not come only immediately, for this the seeker has to remain undisturbed, regularly, patiently, and faithfully in the practice of meditation for a long time. Only then that huge meditation can be generated in his mind, due to which he can destroy the roots and vegetables of his mind.

In the same way, the seeker also transmits the energy of meditation manifested in the conscious mind to the unconscious mind in the state of meditation and burns the rituals of the mind. By continuing this process of meditation for a long time, the unconscious mind becomes cultureless and shines, it becomes refined. Then the covering of ignorance-like impurities on the soul also vanishes and all the three types of Karma Samskaras like Sadhak, Avidya, Asmita, Love-Aversion, Abhinivesh, etc. Only the Kaivalya state is attained. Then he experiences ultimate bliss, Brahmanand every moment. In the words of Maharishi Patanjali, at that time, when the instincts of the mind are completely restrained, the seer (soul) becomes stable in its form, that is, it attains the state of Kaivalya. That is, Samadhi is the name of the sanskar-less, viceless, thoughtless, and pure state of the mind. It is in this state of mind that the soul realizes its true blissful form. In that state, consciousness arises by connecting with self-consciousness. The soul becomes imbued with divine energy and a divine exchange begins between the soul and the Supreme Soul.

As soon as it is connected with meditation, the self-consciousness gets attracted to the divine consciousness and starts becoming blissful. The seeker gets familiar with himself, and self-consciousness and rises towards the light. Descending even deeper into the state of meditation, flowing in the strong flow of meditation, the seeker feels himself to be divine. On the other hand, due to the sophistication of the unconscious, the seeker becomes free from many mental disorders and diseases. Due to the refinement of the mind, it becomes healthy not only mentally, but also physically. In that state, he gets free from various psycho-physical ailments and starts living a happy and healthy life. Due to the accumulated energy, and concentration of the mind generated due to meditation, he starts achieving success in other social areas of life as well. His self-confidence and morale become so strong that he does not give up even in adverse circumstances and makes those adverse conditions favorable to him. Desperation and despair can never even touch him; Because his life view becomes optimistic.

This is the imperishable, integral, and non-dual state of unity of the soul and the Supreme Soul, which is known by various names like Samadhi, Self-realization, etc. Astu, it is clear that with the continuous practice and effect of meditation, as the instincts of the mind get destroyed, the mind becomes pure, and the mind becomes pure. Samadhi happens in the same pure mind, then the seeker does not have to meditate, rather meditation starts happening automatically within him, he is in meditation not only with closed eyes but also with open eyes. Not only while sitting in any Sukhasan, Padmasan, etc., but while walking, running, eating, and getting up. While sitting, sleeping, and awake, he is also in meditation; Because then his mind becomes meditation.
