तन्मे मनः शिवसंकल्पमस्तु”
We have to understand this formula, you must know the literal meaning. But this formula has to be woven into life on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivaratri. This formula tells us, and teaches us, if you want to sit on an elephant, then you have to come in contact with that elephant and teach it. If you do not have that guru power in your life. So you can teach him education lessons, but when the time comes, the elephant will hit you! If there is a guru and a resolution, then you will win. This is a reference to the elephant from the mind. This Shiva Sutra gives us knowledge
This sutra teaches that our minds should be full of auspicious resolutions. The power of resolve is very strong. This creation has also been created by the power of resolve. There is a challenge of resolution before doing any auspicious work. Then that willpower calls for its life force in that work. If there is doubt in the mind, then the willpower is weak. And the work is incomplete. The power of determination, enthusiasm, and patience, comes to a large level in human beings. The power of resolve is converted into determination. The amazing power of determination reaches its ultimate goal riding on the ride of determination, so it is important to keep the mind stable, and focused. The mind chooses what you want. The worship of Lord Shiva Shivaratri teaches us the right direction of life.
अभ्यासवैराग्याभ्याम् तन्निरोध”
Practice and detachment can reduce playfulness, that is, we have to prepare for the practice of good things. This mind has to be put into proper practice. Today’s situation is somewhat different. We have put our minds into negative things. The mind has practiced, depression, mourning small failures, and becoming patient. For this reason, the evil eye of seeing life brings frustration. Life becomes a disease. Every action leads to failure. That’s why we have to work on our minds. He has to put it into proper practice. We have to keep the power of resolve high. With this determination power, you can achieve the goal quickly at full speed. Even in unusual situations, the mind will not panic. With the combination of extraordinary efforts, we will be able to complete our journey. There is no delay in bringing about a revolution through efforts. Mahamana Malviya ji was determined to establish a Hindu University. As a result of this resolution, this university is in front of you, this university stands with its identity in the whole world. Based on the determination, you can cross the biggest rocks. The problems of life will not stop you. If the willpower is weak, then it is itself an apocalypse. The spiritual life and development of man are based on this willpower. This is the highway to self-reliance. Spiritual achievement is also not far from that man.
This is the formula based on this intention in the Atharva Veda,
यो वः शुष्पो हृदयेष्वंतराकृतिर्या वो मनसि प्रविष्टा । तान्त्सीवयामिहविषाघृतेन मयि सजाता रमतिर्वो अस्तु ॥
If the strength of the heart and the determination of the mind move in one direction, then you will get success in achieving your ultimate goal. Based on this determination, the person, caste, and culture become invincible. The living soul gives an easy opportunity to travel to God. “Such as pandas and brahmans”. The universe is contained in the body. Pind means body, gross body, and subtle body. The universe means “infinite”. This power of infinity is not outside but within us. This is the witness period, which is adorned with Shiva’s ornaments even at night. Even yesterday, Shiva continues to chant Shiva by becoming a Shiva worshipper, that festival of the wonderful union of peace and power is ‘Mahashivaratri’. This is a wonderful confluence of consciousness development, in which peace, speed, and strength are transmitted
This living soul becomes the door that leads you to The Supreme Shiva. To get here, you need to choose the direction. Making a choice means “mind”. This is the most important mind, and also powerful. Through this mind, man realizes his desire, and resolve. That is, it completes. The power of the mind keeps you (the soul) in desire. Our lives are trapped in this illusion. The origin of ignorance begins here. The instincts also begin. That is why our nature is the same form as instinct. That is why Maharishi Patanjali explains the formula by giving the basis of the sutra,
वृत्तिसारुप्यमितरत्र
When we fall into the trap of darkness of this world, therefore, the control or lack of playfulness of the mind. Here you have to understand that breathing is related to the mind, and the mind is directly related to resolution. The power of resolve is called the power of the soul, a person with resolve attains pragmatic through spiritual practice to the soul by practicing the truth. The seeker gets the divine experience of perfection. The mind of a shraddha seeker is ornamented.
संशयात्मा विनश्यति”
A person whose mind is afflicted with the demon of doubt cannot touch the determination. In this, he becomes eligible for his destruction. A normal person does not put his 100% to complete the work. That is, he does not work with his mind. He demonstrates his playfulness in completing the work. This is the reason why there is disappointment, discouragement, and failure in his life. This is the root of negativity. This disappointment gives negative nourishment to thoughts. On this basis, the direction of life is decided. On the contrary, if you do every task with your 100%, then you will get success. With this, you develop the power to accept. Every single task of yours is completed with awareness. You will be able to experience the speed and enthusiasm of the work.
Sir Adyar has written in his book related to a Siddha yogi, the name of that divine soul was Swami Govinddev. When they ordered a pitcher full of water, to comply with that order, he would raise the earthen pot to one and a half feet above the ground. At one time there was a famine in the ashram of Galva Maharishi ji and his disciples were troubled by thirst. After seeing and understanding this situation, the Maharishi ordered to give water to the mountain there. Then a stream of water has arisen from that mountain from that moment, This holy taposthali is famous as Galtaji near the city of Jaipur in Rajasthan. In the Chitrakoot mountain range, there was a difficult time in the ashram of Maharishi Atri ji and his bharya Anusaya Mata ji. There was no water to drink anywhere. At that time, Taponishtha Atri Maharishi was not present in the ashram. But his wife Maa Anusaya ji, on the strength of her determination and penance, challenged Mother Ganga, and only then Mother Ganga descended. It’s not just a spiritual miracle. At the level of the physical body, many miracles have been proven to be the strength of determination. Dashrath Manjhi, a resident of Gahlaur in Jharkhand, made his way by digging the mountain. It took him 22 years to complete this work. This work is only a miracle of determination.
शिव तत्व : शिवो भूत्वा शिवं यजेत्”
The name Shiva belongs to God (शिवु कल्याणे)
The word ‘Shiva’ is proved by this energy and vibration. बहुल-मेतन्निदर्शनम्’= [धातुपाठे चुरादिगणे] know this is vibration on of lord Yogi Shiva.
“यः मङ्गल-मयो जीवानां मङ्गलकारी च सः शिवः”= जो [स्वयं] कल्याणस्वरूप [है] और [सबके] कल्याण का करने वाला है. This is the structure of Shiva. Therefore, the name of that God is ‘Shiva’. Mahashivaratri festival is famous for getting the happiness of Lord Shiva. Shiva means good, good. Shankar means one who does good. Of course, to detox them, man has to be like them. The formula is- शिवो भूत्वा शिवं यजेत्” That is, worship Shiva by becoming Shiva, only then his grace can be obtained. If this feeling can be deeply understood by the seekers and the correct form of Shiva’s characteristics can be brought to their attention, then in fact, the amazing results of spiritual practice can be obtained.
There is a lot of attraction among the people of Lord Shiva; But there are also a lot of misconceptions about them, so there are misconceptions in the name of Shiva’s spiritual practice. Public beliefs can be established on the term of Shiva according to his dignity by removing the misconceptions spread through mass organizing on Shivaratri festival. Doing so is of great importance both from the point of view of personal virtue acquisition and public welfare. Shiva means auspicious, and Shankarand means one who does good Prwelling for Shiva worship or the benefit of Shiva proximity is to create good and beneficial thoughts, character and as, pirates. Shivalinga means auspicious symbol and seed. Shiva is established in the form of linga, then he gradually develops and covers the whole life. On Shivaratri, seekers make this effort by fasting and fasting. Shiva is harsh to himself and generous to others. This is an ideal formula for spiritual seekers. The authentic formula of Shiva’s personality is to give valuable gifts to others, and o be cool even in the bare minimum.
It is a tradition to offer drugs etc. to Shiva. Drug abuse is unhealthy, But also has medicinal properties. Offering to Shiva means accepting his auspicious use of Shiva, abandoning the inauspicious addictive form. Such innumerable inspirations are associated with Shiva Vigraha. In the Mahabharata, Bhishma ji narrated the dialogues of Goddess Uma and Lord Shiva in Bhagwati to Yudhishthira lying on the bed, we quote one of them,
उमोवाच,
भगवन् भगनेत्रघ्न मानुषाणां विचेष्टितम्।
सर्वमात्मकृतं चेति श्रुतं मे भगवन्मतम् ।।
लोके ग्रहकृतं सर्वं मत्वा कर्म शुभाशुभम् ।
तदेव ग्रहनक्षत्रं प्रायशः पर्युपासते।।
एष मे संशयो देव तं मे त्वं छेत्तुमर्हसि।।
That is, Bhagwati Uma ji asks Lord Mahadev ji, Bhagwan! Destruction! You believe that the good and bad condition of human beings is all the result of their actions. I heard your opinion very well; But it is seen in the world that people often worship those planetary constellations, considering all auspicious deeds as planet-born. Is their belief correct? God! That is my suspicion. Please clear my doubts. To this, Lord Shiva replies,
श्रीमहेश्वर उवाच,
स्थाने संशयितं देवि शृणु तत्त्वविनिश्चयम् ।।
नक्षत्राणि ग्रहाश्चैव शुभाशुभनिवेदकाः।
मानवानां महाभागे न तु कर्मकराः स्वयम् ।।
प्रजानां तु हितार्थाय शुभाशुभविधिं प्रति ।
अनागतमतिक्रान्तं ज्योतिश्चक्रेण बोध्यते ।।
किंतु तत्र शुभं कर्म सुग्रहैस्तु निवेद्यते ।
दुष्कृतस्याशुभैरेव समवायो भवेदिति ।।
केवलं ग्रहनक्षत्रं न करोति शुभाशुभम् ।
सर्वमात्मकृतं कर्म लोकवादे ग्रहा इति ।।
ॐ अमंगलानां शमनं, शमनं दुष्कृतस्य च । दुःस्वप्ननाशनं धन्यं, प्रपद्येऽहं शिवं शुभम्।।
Auspicious yoga of inauspicious elements is also possible. Some medicines also contain intoxication and toxicity, do not let it become an addiction. They are exempted from drug use. If you have become addicted, then leave them and offer them to Shiva. Resolve that they will not be used by Ashiva. Today is the time to let go of the inner flaws. Today, resolve to renounce the evil. We have to be Dikshit at the divine time of this Mahashivaratri. Have to move forward. This is the time to give direction to life by choosing the path of spiritual practice by being educated. Don’t rush yourself at this time! Are you like it? Where are you? Offer everything to Lord Shiva! It’s time to open yourself up. Just like a drop is found in the ocean. In the same way, the ocean is also present in that bund. But even a bud is the seed of that vast ocean. You too have the seed of that eternal power. You are also full of that power. You are rich. You are the son of that infinite power.
